Question by The Equalist: Why do women complain about paying higher health insurance than men? And brag they pay less car insurance?
Why do women (in the US and other countries where private health insurance exists) complain about paying higher health insurance than men? While at the same time women brag that men have to pay higher car insurance than them?
If a woman has no issues with men paying more for car insurance than her, wouldn’t it only be fair that she should have no issues with paying more health insurance than men?
Dragonfly: Actually, women get in more crashes if you count fender-benders. Men’s insurance rates are higher because they get in more *expensive* crashes. It always comes down to money. Men have more DUI’s and are more likely to do stuff like speeding, street racing, etc. However, studies show that men are better drivers than women if you have them both in a rational mindstate. And nice going at trying to blame all of women’s problem’s on men. I wasn’t aware that a biological issue like menstruation occurs because of men.
Jennifer: Sounds like a lie to me. Are you driving a luxury sports car and he’s in an 89 Ford Taurus? They tend to raise insurance for luxury vehicles.
He gets in all these accidents and moving violations, your record is clean and you’re a woman, and you pay more for car insurance? Riiiight.

It’s always to prove a point. Petty BS. Men are just as guilty of this type of behavior.

If you can just pay for the other car’s repairs and get a letter from the owner stating that you are free of any further obligations… it might save you $$ on your insurance rates. But GET THAT IN WRITING.
